# Sendlane

> Sync affiliate events into Sendlane campaigns and automations.

Sendlane is an ecommerce-focused email and SMS platform. Connecting it lets you trigger flows and segment contacts based on what's happening in your Afflo partner program.

## What it does

* Sends affiliate events (joined, first sale, payout sent, tier changed) to Sendlane
* Syncs partner profile properties so you can segment in Sendlane
* Lets you build flows like "welcome new partner" or "reward top earners"

## Before you start

* A Sendlane account with API access
* API key from your Sendlane dashboard

## Connect

1. In Sendlane, create an API key under **Settings → API**.
2. In Afflo, open **Integrations → Marketing → Sendlane** and click **Connect**.
3. Paste the API key and save.
4. Wait a moment for Afflo to verify. The card turns to **Connected**.

## What gets sent

* Events mirroring the list on the [Klaviyo](/integrations/marketing/klaviyo) page
* Profile properties: tier, program, total earnings

## Disconnect

Open the integration and click **Disconnect**. Historical events in Sendlane are kept.

## Tips

* Use Sendlane's segment builder on `tier` to reward top partners with exclusive offers.
* Set up a "first sale" flow — many partners go quiet after their first win without a nudge.

## Troubleshooting

**"Invalid API key."** Generate a new key with full access and reconnect.

**Events aren't firing.** Confirm your Sendlane plan supports API events, then try a test action in Afflo (add and remove an affiliate) to trigger a fresh event.
