# Trolley

> Pay affiliates worldwide via bank transfer, PayPal, and more.

Trolley (formerly Payment Rails) is a payout platform built for international creators. It handles compliance, tax forms, and transfers across many countries.

## What it does

* Sends payouts to bank accounts, PayPal, and other local methods
* Collects tax forms (W-9, W-8BEN) automatically
* Handles currency conversion and compliance reporting

## Before you start

* A Trolley account with a funded balance
* API credentials from your Trolley dashboard

## Connect

    In Trolley, open **Settings → API keys** and create a new access key and secret.

    In Afflo, go to **Integrations → Payments → Trolley** and click **Connect**.

    Paste the access key and secret, confirm the environment (live vs. sandbox), and save.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Verify">
    Afflo validates the credentials and shows the integration as **Connected**.

## How payouts work

1. You click **Pay All** on the Payouts page.
2. Afflo sends the payout instructions to Trolley.
3. Trolley uses the payout method the partner set up in their Trolley onboarding (bank, PayPal, etc.).
4. Once a partner completes tax forms and verification, payouts flow automatically.

  Partners sign up for Trolley with a secure link the first time. They'll see the link in the email Trolley sends them.

## Disconnect

Open **Integrations → Payments → Trolley** and click **Disconnect**.

## Tips

* Use Trolley when you work with partners outside your country — the compliance handling saves hours per cycle.
* Encourage partners to complete their Trolley onboarding and tax forms early, before the first payout runs.
* Keep funds topped up in Trolley; a low balance pauses all in-progress transfers.

## Troubleshooting

**"Authentication failed."** Double-check you copied the access key and secret completely, and that the environment matches (live credentials won't work in sandbox).

**Payout stuck in Processing.** Trolley often waits on partner tax/verification. The partner sees a message in their Trolley account with what's outstanding.

**Partner wants to change method.** They change it in Trolley (not Afflo). The next payout uses the new method.
