# Affiliate Programs

> Create and manage programs with commissions, attribution, and codes.

A program is the rulebook for how your partners earn. You can run one program for everything or several programs for different audiences, products, or regions.

<Frame />

## What the page shows

* **Four metric cards** at the top: Total Programs, Positive Sentiment, Reach, and Engagement Rate.
* **A grid of program cards**, each showing the name, description, commission, status badge (Active, Scheduled, Expired, Capped, or Inactive), number of affiliates enrolled, and performance totals.
* **A filter bar** to search, filter by status, and sort.

## Create a program

Click **Create Program** in the top-right. The wizard has six steps — you can go back or forward at any point.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Name">
    Give the program a clear, partner-facing name (for example, "Summer Launch Partners").
  </Step>

  <Step title="Commission">
    Choose **Percentage** or **Fixed amount**, and whether partners earn **per sale** or **per click**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Attribution">
    Set the cookie window (how long a click counts) and the attribution model — **first click** or **last click**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Tracking">
    Review the tracking URL pattern and any parameters that will be appended to your partners' links.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Discount code (optional)">
    Let Afflo issue a discount code to each affiliate in this program. Shoppers using the code are attributed automatically.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Advanced">
    Optionally set a start and end date, or cap how many affiliates can enroll.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Edit, pause, or delete

Open the actions menu on any program card to edit, view analytics, or delete. A deleted program stops attributing new sales, but historical data stays in your reports.

## Tips

* Keep your first program simple — one commission rate, a 30-day window, and no cap. You can refine once you see performance data.
* Use separate programs when commissions or terms genuinely differ. Otherwise one program with tiered affiliates (bronze / silver / gold / platinum) is easier to manage.
* Discount codes raise conversion for partners without a link-heavy audience (podcasts, newsletters, offline events).
