@yourbrand.com, which dramatically improves deliverability and trust.
What it does
- Sends outreach and transactional emails from your domain
- Adds SPF, DKIM, and DMARC alignment so your messages pass spam filters
- Shows replies in the Master Inbox just like before
Before you start
- A domain you own (for example,
yourbrand.com) - Access to the DNS provider for that domain (Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Route 53, etc.)
Connect
Open the integration
Go to Integrations → Marketing → Connect Your Email (or Emails → Settings) and click Add Domain.
Enter your domain
Type the domain you want to send from. A subdomain is fine (for example,
partners.yourbrand.com).Add DNS records
Afflo shows you a handful of DNS records (SPF, DKIM, CNAME). Copy each one into your DNS provider.
Verify
Come back to Afflo and click Verify. DNS can take a few minutes to propagate — up to an hour in rare cases.
Set sending identity
Once verified, set a From name and From email (like “Jane from Afflo” /
[email protected]).What to expect
- New outreach and invites use your domain from the moment verification succeeds.
- Replies return to the From email — Afflo picks them up in the Master Inbox.
- Existing in-flight campaigns keep using their original sender.
Tips
- Use a subdomain dedicated to partner emails (
partners.yourbrand.com). It protects your main domain’s reputation if outreach ever lands in spam. - Warm up a new domain gradually. Don’t send 10,000 emails from a brand-new domain on day one.
- Keep your DNS records in place — removing them breaks sending immediately.
Troubleshooting
Verification keeps failing. Double-check you copied the full record value, including quotes or trailing dots. Let DNS propagate another 15 minutes and retry. Emails going to spam anyway. Warm the domain, check your content (spam-trigger words), and confirm SPF/DKIM/DMARC all pass in a deliverability test.Related
